A confident Indian team, now unbeaten in the tournament, will go up against low-ranked South Korea in the quarter-finals of the Junior Women's Hockey World Cup here on Friday. India finished on top of Pool D with three wins from three matches, scoring a maximum of nine points. India defeated Wales (5-1), Germany (2-1) and Malaysia (4-0). The team scored 11 goals during this period while only two goals were scored against it.

Korea, on the other hand, finished second in Group C with just three points due to a better goal difference. In Korea's pool, Argentina topped the pool with a maximum of nine points. Uruguay and Austria shared three points with Korea, but were beaten by the Asian team due to a better goal difference.

Apart from captain Salima Tete, the Indian team includes three Olympians in the form of strikers Sharmila Devi and Lalremsiami who lead the team. Salima has been performing brilliantly so far to create many chances for the front line while Sharmila and Lalremsiami have also lived up to the expectations.
