Tanzin Dolma of Kaza got the distinction of winning the women's category in the country's first snow marathon held at Sisu in Lahaul Valley, Himachal Pradesh. Dolma completed the 42 kilometer run in the snow in five hours, five minutes and 30 seconds. Shashwat secured the first position in the men's marathon with a timing of 4 hours 41 minutes 7 seconds. He is originally from Karnataka, but has been living in Manali for a long time. Baldev stood second with a time of 6 hours one minute 55 seconds. A total of 124 runners who arrived from all corners of the country ran in the snow in the Snow Marathon held on Saturday at Sisu in the tribal district of Lahaul-Spiti. When the runners ran in the snow at minus five degrees temperature and an altitude of 10240 feet, many breathed their way. In the morning, ADM Keylong Priya Nagta inaugurated the marathon, while Deputy Commissioner Lahaul-Spiti Neeraj Kumar distributed prizes to the winners.

In the 21 kilometer long marathon, Rohan secured the first position with a timing of 2 hours 53 minutes 41 seconds, while Pradeep secured the second position by finishing the race in 2 hours 59 minutes 25 seconds. In the women's section, Diksha won. Diksha completed her race in two hours 59 minutes 47 seconds. World famous sprinter Kiren D'Souza secured the first position in the 10 kilometer race by covering the distance in one hour, one minute and 29 seconds. Daulat Ram stood second with a timing of one hour four minutes and 53 seconds. In the 10 km women's section, Hemlata secured the first position with a timing of one hour 20 minutes 47 seconds.

Preeti Thakur finished second with a timing of one hour 23 minutes 52 seconds. In the men's section of 5 km race, Navneet stood first with a timing of 28 minutes 43 seconds and Himmat stood second with a timing of 31 minutes 25 seconds. In the women's section, Srishti got the first position with a timing of 43 minutes 21 seconds and Ayesha got the second position with a timing of 47 minutes 53 seconds. In the Run for Fun, Shashin K Ramchand secured the first position in the men's section in one kilometer with a timing of 12.2 minutes. Whereas Mehr Chand of Gopathang is second with a timing of 13.33 minutes. Whereas Anju stood first in the women's section with a time of 15 minutes.
