Indian wrestler Bajrang is carrying out preparations in Iran at the invitation of three-time world champion and Olympic medalist Iranian wrestler Hassan Yazdani. Despite a lot of efforts by the Indian Wrestling Federation in the last several years, Iran did not invite Indian wrestlers for its preparations. But the stalwart Yazdani not only broke this tradition by being friends with Bajrang but also gave a heart-warming welcome to the Tokyo Olympic bronze medalist in Zubar (Iran). While staying here, Yazdani is preparing Bajrang along with the famous wrestlers of Iran.

Bajrang reached Yazdani's academy this month along with his personal trainer, Arjuna Awardee Sujit Mann. Here he is training in 70kg with Junior Cadet World Champion Mehdi Ashghi, Junior World Champion Mehdi Yeganeh, Abul Fazal Hajipour, Iman Sadeghi. Bajrang will arrive here from Iran to attend the trials for the Asian Championships to be held at IG Stadium, Delhi on March 24.

Sujeeth reveals that both Bajrang and Yazdani respect each other. Meanwhile, Yazdani offered to train Bajrang in his place for the sake of friendship, which he accepted. Bajrang could not play the ranking tournament of Istanbul (Turkey) due to a knee strain. He came to Iran from Turkey. According to Sujit, when Bajrang reached the academy, the wrestlers present there welcomed him with garlands and applauded loudly. Bajrang is seen with great respect in Iran.
