Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar announced the date of Khelo India Youth Games after virtual meeting with Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur. Now these games will be organized from June 4 to 13 in Shahbad Markanda, Ambala, Chandigarh, Delhi and Panchkula. Under-18 category players will participate in these games. Around 8,000 players are expected to participate in 25 sports, including five indigenous sports. These games were continuously being postponed due to Corona.

Presenting the plan of preparations for the Games before the Union Minister, the Chief Minister said that the Games would be organized with ease. The Muscat of the Games will be announced on May 8 in Panchkula. He said that hockey stadiums in Shahbad and Panchkula are almost ready. All-weather swimming pool has been prepared in Ambala.

Athletic track and badminton hall have been built in Panchkula. The games will be dedicated to the daughters of Haryana. Sports Minister Anurag Thakur said that the daughters of Haryana have raised the country's flag to great heights in the field of sports. He said that the Corona rules will be fully followed for these games to be held in June. All the arrangements will be made for the testing of all the players.
