Dipika Pallikal stunned at the World Doubles Squash Championships in Glasgow on Saturday (April 9). She along with Joshna Chinappa captured the women's and Saurav Ghosal's mixed doubles titles. Second seeds Dipika Pallikal and Saurav Ghosal defeated English pair of Adrian Waller and Alison Waters in the mixed doubles final.

Dipika Pallikal and Saurav Ghosal defeated the fourth seeded pair of Adrian Waller and Alison Waters 11-6, 11-8. The pair of Deepika and Sourav is the first Indian pair to win the title in the doubles event. After this, Deepika entered the women's doubles with Joshna Chinappa. There both won the title.

Indian pair of Joshna Chinappa and Deepika, seeded third, thrashed second seeded pair of Sarah-Jane Perry and Alison Waters of England 11-9, 4-11, 11-8 in a tight match.

Dipika Pallikal returned to international squash at the Glasgow Meet after three years away. Deepika, who married Indian cricketer Dinesh Karthik, became a mother last year.
