Indian wrestlers Anshu Malik and Radhika on Friday won silver medals in their respective 57kg and 65kg categories at the 2022 Asian Wrestling Championships. Apart from this, Manisha won the bronze medal in the 62 kg category. All of them have brought laurels to the country by performing brilliantly. Wrestler Anshu Malik made it to the finals, but in the final of the 57kg category, she lost 0-4 to Tsugumi Sakurai of Japan and missed out on the gold medal.

Anshu Malik won the gold medal in the 2021 edition of the Asian Championship 57 kg wrestling event. On Friday, she could not repeat last year's performance and the defending champion was defeated by a Japanese wrestler. Japanese wrestler Sakurai did well and held a 4–0 lead until the end of the game. Malik could not return to the game.
