A major accident happened during a football match in Kerala. The gallery of the football stadium collapsed at Vandoor in Malappuram district. The accident happened around 9 pm. People had come to watch the final match between two local teams. The local people alleged that the organizers did not stop the movement of the visitors even after the gallery was completely filled, due to which the accident happened. The video of this entire incident is going viral on social media.

According to Kerala's digital news portal Mathrubhumi, this football match was taking place at the LP School Ground in Poongod, Kalikavu. It was the final match of the All India Sevens Football Tournament. This is a very prestigious football tournament of Malappuram district. More than 2000 people were present in the spectator gallery where the incident took place to watch the football match.
